WELLCOME TO AZAHAR

Azahar is computer software that allows installing and using applications on mobile phones and portable devices. It has been designed for people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or Intellectual Disability/Learning Difficulties. However, it could be useful for other individuals that might have difficulties to gain access to conventional devices and, more widely, for anyone with support needs.

Azahar can be adapted to the preferences and level of complexity that can manage a given individual. Thus, it is possible to select the content it uses (such as pictograms, pictures, sounds or colours) and the complexity of its interface depending on the needs of the user.

Azahar has been designed to be used at any environment and situation, so that the individual can used whenever he/she needs it, as occurs with HOLA communicator (to communicate with pictograms) or with MUSICA (to enjoy mp3 music in his/her spear time).

Azahar is based on Java technology (J2ME), therefore being a multi platform system that is independent of the operating system. Up to now, it is available for any type of Windows (Mobile, XP, Vista) and soon will be available also for Android, Symbian and Linux, thus widening the range of devices in which it can be installed.
